Kilmany Parish Church, where Chalmers started his
ministry. For 12 years he instructed this parish
growing more and more
well-known, and was eventually removed to Glasgow, though he often
returned
to pay nostalgic visits. My wife and I found the key to the church hanging on
the church
warden's door-post, and we went in - advised by a friendly
neighbour (Mr.Bluff) who repeatedly
had to cease from his hedge-cutting to
