With a smattering of snow on the tops, there is a real feeling of Winter in this image, and a stunted tree, and hungry sheep tend to accentuate this. Pity about the sky - it often intrudes too brightly, but the idea of putting some blue does not appeal, it could never look natural! This was taken near Tywyn, along the course of another steam railway, the Talyllyn. This was built as a slate-carrying railway, narrow gauge, but survived to be taken over by the first group in the world to preserve a public railway. Go to Abergynolwyn station, out of the yard, turn left, and take the first turning on the right. Then it's all yours, but this pic. was taken from a footpath somewhere up on the left of that turning.
