Steam in France - in the 70s

Welcome

I visited France with Robin Doust, a friend from a preservation scheme in Kent, and we went first to Calais, and spent the night, getting up early to see the steam shed casting an enormous pall of smoke over the whole neighbourhood! We took photo's to our heart's content, then entrained for Paris where we spent the rest of the week. There was still steam then on the Bastille Line, and the suburban line out of Paris Nord to St. Denis etc. At this distance in time, I remember very little of the detail - maybe someone out there can help? Anyway - Enjoy!
