THE LAND THAT IS
"SCOTLANDS BEST-KEPT SECRET"

earlstounburn.jpg

One fine day we went for a walk to see how far we could get along the "Southern Uplands Way" which goes coast to coast across Scotland. It had rained a lot, and was very boggy. Many swamps had to be crossed, so we were glad of good walking boots and our walking sticks! We had a lovely chat with an old farmer about his cattle, and the real rams-horn hook on his shepherd's crook. This was, however, as far as we got. We had our sandwiches, and returned.
