If you are so bold as to climb from Dungeon Ghyl up one of 3 routes to the Langdale Pikes (see other pic) you will get this view half-way up. Known as Stickle Tarn, this little lake is a gem in a wonderful setting, and a favourite place for the sandwiches (or Mint Cake).
