It must be admitted straight away that this is not exactly at the feature known as Popes Cottage,
though the title would imply that. Slightly nearer to Rolvenden, but with more interesting background,
this is about half a mile out from Rolvenden. Note the preserved telephone poles and wires.
They work, and are increasingly rare in this age of wireless communications and underground wires.
