Barrhill station is the only station on the
rail network, with Stranraer, in the Galloway area. It is on the line from
Glasgow to Stranraer, via Ayr and Girvan. In the middle of the moors...It is
supposed to serve Newton Stewart and area but that is a somewhat hollow joke -
the place is miles away!
