Some of the beautiful flowers growing completely wild around Dungeness.
Dungeness is a shingle spit, or promontory, that juts out from Kent into the English Channel towards France. It comprises hundreds of acres of shingle, with bird reserves, small settlements, and a passenger carrying steam railway, 15" gauge which starts at Hythe 14 miles away. The station boasts a cafe, the only one for miles, though the Old Lighhouse sells ice-creams and chocolate things.
