This is "Scrap" called this not because he is made of iron, but because he was such a wee scrap of a lamb. He made it to the walking about the floor and weeing on the carpet stage, but when returned to his mother and sister, he got left out in the race for the best teat, and was rescued, cold and trembling and under-nourished, a few days later. This time he didn't make it, and died at home. Although they are not our lambs and we tend them as a favour, and because we enjoy it, we vowed not ever again to return a lamb to its mother until it was good and able to fight its corner.
