We do get some fun! This day, we went into the Mill to get mixed corn for the chickens. We nearly stepped on this little object flat on the concrete floor. It turned out to be a bat - probably a young one, fallen off its mother. Jane tried to feed it, and was progressing with milk on a wee paint brush, when night fell and we left it out in case Mum came along. Next morning it was on the floor, with very little sign of life, and died later that day.
