I was born in Folkestone, Kent, England. Kent used to be a wonderful place. It's a bit busy these days.....

Previously living in Ashford, some of my interest consists of being in the garden, and photography, which includes all interests.

I have been interested in, and worked in, Agriculture all my working life. Now we have retired to a smallholding in Scotland . .More? .

My interest in photography started in my 20's and has never stopped! Now Medium format has hit - see "MF for £3"

My interest in my wife started when I first saw her in the Lake district in 1976 and if you must see what I look like, go here...

My son Nicholas taught me HTML back in 1997 when we constructed my first website - Alan's Railpics.

My wife and I have also been Christians ever since we can remember. Go to the Scottish Preachers Hall of Fame to see more on that.

My wife being Dutch, I have an interest in all things Dutch. I have a site on it, pictures of the culture, countryside, and its railways!
